चल रही है ये सफ़र-ए-ज़िन्दगी
न रास्ता बदला न नज़ारें बदले
बदले तो सिर्फ कुछ साथी हमारे
बस मंज़िल बदली और सहारे बदले |

चलते-चलते अब ठहर गया हूँ
चलते हुए दूर हर पड़ाव लगता है
और कितना चलूँ, चल-चल के
अब हर चाल में ठहराव लगता है |

आँसू भी आँखों से सूख गए हैं
एक-सा मुझे, हर मुक़ाम लगता है
हर कदम पे जो ये दिल था धड़कता
ये धड़कना भी मुझे अब आम लगता है |

किसके लिए मैं चलूँ अब ?
किसके लिए हर कदम बढ़ाऊँगा ?
अपने तो कब के छूट गए
जीत के भी मैं फिर हार जायूँगा |

इस ज़ुस्तज़ू-ए-ज़िन्दगी में
क्यों ख़ुद से मैं अब निराश हूँ ?
मैंने छोड़ा था जिन सहारों को
उनसे ही अब क्यों उदास हूँ ?

किसके लिए अब चलूँ मैं ?
क्यों हिम्मत फिर जुटाऊँ मैं ?
जिस ख़ुदा ने मुझसे सब छीन लिया
क्यों फिर उसके पास जाऊँ मैं ?
